In Their Own Words

“I live for the moment a student goes from confused to 'oh — I get it now.' That's the whole reason I do this. I've always been the person who wants to understand why something works, not just accept that it does — I was that kid at school who ended up explaining things to classmates before the teacher got to them. I don't teach students to memorise; I teach the logic behind the rule, the reasoning nobody bothers to explain, and what it actually looks like in the real world. Fifteen years of doing this work for real gives me a lot of 'why' to draw on.”
